Clinical Trials Data Platform, Medic
We developed the “MediC” platform through investigator-generated data, deep learning of biology, pharmacology, medicine, and artificial intelligence to optimize clinical trials and democratize learning about how medical, behavioral and environmental factors may advance or mitigate disease.
Our platform is based on global data with a focus on Korea. Seoul is the primary clinical trial city, but prior to MediC, data was not compiled in a searchable format. Our team uses the open application programming interface (API) in cooperation with the Korean government to collect and integrate data from other countries in other languages.
We are preparing 3 patent cooperation treaty (PCT) applications and 3 Korean technology patents.
Core Keyword Extraction
An essential component of a successful clinical trial is the cooperation between various institutions, clinical trial consignees, and researchers. However, locating and communicating with clinical trial consignees and researchers specializing in specific diseases and drugs is often time consuming because the same hospital, clinical trial consignment institution, and researcher are expressed in multiple ways and in different languages. Our technology effectively searches and classifies the ever-growing amount of clinical trial data, identifies and extracts specific keywords from relevant published material, and makes this data available in an easy to analyze format.
Transformation and Classification
MediC’s platform converts clinical trial data expressed in various ways into standardized expressions, so users can efficiently search for desired clinical trial data. Appropriate clinical trial trustee and researcher information is also provided to pharmaceutical/bio companies preparing to launch clinical trials for the development of new drugs and in determining the probability of their clinical success.
By using automated processes to analyze collected clinical trial data, a client’s operational inefficiencies in normalizing clinical trial data can be overcome.
In general, the format of clinical trial data differs depending on the platform to which it is uploaded, making it difficult to view and share clinical trial results across multiple platforms. MediC recognized the need to provide data from a variety of clinical trials for a particular drug and has developed techniques to match similar clinical trial data and deliver this information to the client in an easy to analyze and use layout.
